Sand laden waves

Pound rich seaweed crusted rocks

Cockles dig deeper

breathtaking sunset
gold dust shimmers on calm sea
sweet birdsong ceases

sitting on the beach
I saw the ruby sun dive
into the deep blue

twilight was waiting
at the pause of destiny
sea birds called to night

moon came out glowing
upon the sun kissed waters
day's end charmed me so

baby turtles hatched
from sandy cradles, crawling...
to moon mirrored seas

summer sun scorches
parasols sprout like mushrooms
sun cream scent on breeze

kids go rockpooling
then collect pretty sea shells
ice cream cornets drip

Leaping fish spawning
leaf floats by waterfall
lyrical bird sings 


Waves crashing on beach
river maundering 
clouds puffy white sail by

Peace of nature shows
how relaxing life can be
and can show you truth

walking
on the beach:
two shadows

summer night
the full moon floats
on silver waves

loose tumbling sea breeze
sets waves of tense limbs free –
empty beach chairs

Sun and sand and beach
Life has some lessons for me

Sad conversations
May healing come to you soon
And children be safe!

orange spills out of the sea
to touch your feet

Haiku for frangipani in bloom:

nocturnal bouquet 
of frangipani in bloom –
olfactory fruits

teasing aromas
adorning a young girls hair – 
swaying moonlit palms

moths seeking nectar
flutter, flower to flower – 
new buds at sunrise.

winter wizard beach
sunbathers turned to ice
gulls to puffs of snow

Tendrils so meekly
Come over to meet me- looms!
Pink rays, stings, oh ouch!

dolphin fin appears
it cuts the water briefly
as i walk the beach
