Deer forage in the woods
No time yet for being prey
Their call re-echoes


Rotwild grast im Wald
Noch dort droht keine Gefahr
Ihr Ruf hallt wider


Venado herbaja en el bosque
Ningún tiempo aún para ser presa
Sus gritos resuenan

snowflakes falling
a still in headlights

Trees and plants
Giving shelter to
Birds and deer

beside the forest path

Blossoms fall like snow
where deer and antelope play
and spanish moss hangs

No snowstorm down south
Just moaning, sighing wet wind
That shivers my soul

On the forest floor
An albino deer is born
On my property

a fine young deer stares
at something or at someone
its horn got tangled

tangerine morning

in a flame feral forest

deer dash, squirrels leap

branches creeping
toward a sleeping deer-
      hunter’s moon

the boughs are laden
swift hands gather fruits of fall
deer come at twilight 

red harvest moon
deer graze on swathed crop...
lone wolf howls

Key Deer are tiny,
Prancing around on the islands,
Key Deer are mammals.

October's harvest
twenty foot high 'pon tree..
golden pears wait fate

human, bird,or deer
insects await quick fall...
pear pickle in jars  

The deer hunter
Looks like a deer in the 
Headlights

beware all deer

        jogger,

   crossing.

ENCHANTED FOREST

enchanted forest
one deer at the meadow brook
bare feet    on tiptoe

.
                                       Deer young wild free runs
                                     Open meadow grass flowers..
                                          Road impact lights out

deer footprints
in fresh fallen snow...
poacher stalks

And was blue Earth, green woods and hills,
Place that is good, animals had a dream:
My dear, remember me and my deer...

While the acorn drops

The eagle sees, the deer hears

But the insect eats

deer hunter's cabin   
left naked in former woods...
miles_strip cleared of trees

Not sure that this qualifies as a true Haiku

waterplace in mist
fancy deer-hovering ghost
keep equilibrium.

drying up stream bed
wet cracking sun heated stones
deer lick minerals

deer head down
upon front porch steps next to oak..
abundant acorns

snow, pink in the dawn
 deer moving down to water...
   putting coffee on
