Nature's wake from sleep
Life flirts with beauty
a time for flowers to flaunt

spilling mother’s milk
Nature’s bounty feeds her child -
river’s youth fades fast

                          plastic bag churned by the tide

                                 ocean clings for life

forest of splendor
the beauty of life is seen
through shimmering light

shooting star---
once again I forget
my wish

Monitoring self,
nature made her decisions:
disaster rained down…

The water rose—
Life sank beneath the level;
hope floated above…

Like Noah, we wait…
flooding water standing still—
Vultures roost on wires.

happiness, the fire
forges our steel to withstand
pain and thorny times

laughter melts metal
cold bath sets the steel mettle
fine blade to cut life

blade wrapped in fine silk
until the next battle comes
pain and blood drip down
