sings aria on tree limb
echoing mimic

tantalizing treat
	mustard burgeoning crimson ~

mockingbird attacks
wiggling worm on hot driveway....
briefly hold brake down  

God blesses in so many ways. I see the Mockingbird that feeds from the ground and then drive up the road short way and there are about 8 or 10 swallows feeding from the air.

Mother mockingbird
guarding your holly bush nest,
your baby’s calling.

the mockingbird eats
homemade cornbread, runs all birds....
rotund; cat's delight  

parents sparrow's nest            					                                         mobbing darts as the crow flees  										   agrees mockingbird

Mockingbird singing 
On a telephone pole high
Behind you blue sky

mockingbird chases
squirrel down center of road....
lazy summer day  

                  mockingbird on the
fence in silence turns head....
female in nest chirps         

Answer me!

Answer me, Mockingbird!
Have you no song of 
your own?  Answer me!

dirt faced boy ponders
existence of God, wonders
a mockingbird sings

Baby mockingbird 
with her new grey feather coat
is poised for first flight.

Mockingbird guards our
front door, cheerful and upbeat,
and demands no tip.

mockingbird drinks from
thawed birdbath throwing back head....
murder of crows fly

Morning mockingbird,
waking me with the dawn light,
please let me sleep on.

'pon gnarled bare oak limb
one silent mockingbird sits....
northward gaggle flies
