flame-edged leaf dances alone~
nature's fiery grace

vacant eyes glisten
behind the window pane
alone with the moon 

crisp rainy morning
leaves blanket wet forest ground ~
hidden hare haven

barren trees sparkle
sunrays warm frosty branches ~
forest awakens

amber pine needles
hide visible forest paths ~
public hiatus

in the open air
cacophonous solitude ~
quiet containment

the pert butterflies
speckled and multicoloured ~
flittering about

in a world of one color
the sound of nothing

calm waters be still
reflections of loneliness
remnants of winter

my breath lingers

between us

wearied seamen rest
beneath their own blue blue sea
ocean - solitude

He didn't look at her once
                  She wrote a letter
            With love,'how are you?'

trapped fish swim about

behind clear, aquatic walls;

do seas haunt their dreams?

Tin can pan alley cat man
                                       Nickel and dime No money blues
                                    Also-ran derelict on the run no shoes

lone bluebird sings

on my back porch swing
  
I hug myself


Or

lone robin sings

on the mountain porch swing

I hug myself

I live in deep space
But you cannot follow me
To live in the stars

Crowds and solitude still
World - a house of mirrors
I'm the spectator, I'm the show

Coffee drips
Down the face of my cup:
My mind wanders

Shafts of brilliant light
Cut through limbs and boughs of blue
Seeking solitude.

Simple solitude
lord of my surroundings
ample in the light.

Dark empty nothing
Bulging forever outwards
... No aliens yet

O'swimming turtle 
At home where ever you go
I envy your shell

O'swimming turtle
your safe place of solitude
I envy your peace

poem why are we alone
           no one to converse 
   its you and me inside this room-

        yet write on a blank paper
          we sealed and folded
     slip secretly on someone's door.

canopy of trees
     arched over the winding lane
          a peaceful presence

Life-lines .
Flat-lines. 
This world is a sphere ,
We live on lines.

Shadows dance in snow
